summer vacation

my cousin is going to new york from october to january, and she has asked me to house sit for her while she is gone. i can't decide if i want to do it or not. on the plus side, she lives right on the beach in dee why. which would be a lot nicer than the outer south western suburbs in the summer. but she would like me to pay a little under half the rent. which is not terribly expensive, but is a lot more than i am paying now. so it would be three months without saving. i would also have to catch the bus each day to work which would take like an hour.

i don't know. i want to tell her yes, but i don't want to disadvantage myself in doing it.
