weekend update

i was going to vote below the line today. i really was. but then i went down to town hall to put my vote in during my lunch break, and i was hungry, and there was this annoying girl i went to uni with working there and i really didn't want to have to talk to her. i just wanted to get out and go eat. so i put a 1 up the top and ran away.

but now comes my favourite part of the whole election, the tally. this is my inner geography nerd shining through, but i love seeing what towns are in what electorate. i also enjoy seeing just how many former regional news readers are running.

day light savings ends tonight. the clocks going back an hour really is a blessing when one has to wake up at 6am to go to work. don't forget to check your smoke alarm too. preferably at 3am if you live in a block of units.

while i was waiting half an hour for my train, i went to that huge ass book store who's name i never remember in the galleries victoria and bought an estonian phrase book. phase one is well into action for my newly formed goal of being on a working holiday in the baltics this time next year.
