meow meow lullaby

the ferals who live in the house next door to my block of units got a cat recently. it’s a beautiful cat. however because the ferals are too busy calling the cops on each other to feed the poor thing, it spends all its time crying right outside my bedroom window.

when i came home last night, one of the dudes who lives downstairs was standing in our drive way filing his nails [i didn’t even ask, nor should you.] as i walked up stairs i heard him call out “here puss puss, come and get something to eat.” my reaction of course was “argh! you fuckwit. now you’ll cop it.”

except i was slightly off the money. when i left for work this morning, and when i got home this evening. the fucking thing was outside my door. the fuck cat? i’m just an innocent bystander!

in other news i spent way too much money on make up tonight. stupid clinique gift with purchase time. never fails to suck me in.

i also bought a book written by a guy, bernie matthews, who used to post stories on the prisontalk forums. it’s about his times in hellish new south wales prisons during the 70s.

i love crime stuff. i’m also currently reading a book about brenden abbott which is really interesting. and i have a sick fascination for australian crime, in particular the anita cobby murder and to a lesser extent ivan milat and the back packer murders.

but even after all that, this book is so hard to read. bernie seems like a decent bloke. i think it’s because of this, because i know that these things actually happened, that it’s so hard to stomach. i can only read it for a couple of minutes before i have to put it down.

i’m also totally creeping myself out by following this story while i’m at work. then i started reading about and listening to numbers stations and reading about broadcast interuptions. i think i’m trying to set myself up to never sleep again.
